Chairman: Sevag Derderian
Derderian, a native of Los Angeles serves as Chairman of the AACCWD Central Council. He pursued his vocal training with Juliana Gondek of UCLA and continues his music education studies with Berklee College of Music. Derderian also serves as a consultant to corporate and government organizations. His extensive portfolio contains the Hillary Clinton 2016 Presidential Campaign, U.S. Department of Education, Los Angeles Unified School District, and Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
He has been affiliated with the LA Unified School District for over ten years. With that, he brings his passion for music education to the AACCWD and her scholarship programs.
Vice-Chairman: Alenoush Yeghnazar
A lyrical soprano with a flexible and dramatic edge, her voice seems suited to a virtually endless repertoires from ancient to contemporary music. She has been a scholar at New England conservatory of music and has graduated from CSULA with a Bachelor of Art in music, and Master of Music in vocal studies performance and choral conducting.
Ms. Yeghnazar has been appearing as a solo performer of lead/opera and church music since 1989. She also has been a jury member in competitions and has been conducting children and adult choirs since 1993. Lately she has been invited as a lecturer concerning Armenian sacred music. Currently she is the lead conductor of St. Leon Cathedral in Burbank California.
Secretary: Victoria L. Amran
Victoria Amran’s involvement in the St. Leon choir started at the age of 16 following her grandmother’s entry. Her passion in the sacred Divine Liturgy began at Mekhitarian Father’s Armenian School, where she was taught to sing not only sacred choral songs, but cultural Armenian music. As a soprano within the Cathedral choir, she joyfully devotes her time every Sunday during the Divine Liturgy. Her contribution to the growth of the Armenian community does not end in the choir. Victoria holds the position of Advisor for ACYO Central Council as well as the St. Leon Burbank Chapter, Co-president of ACDO, and AGBU Hye Geen. Victoria Amran has recently completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology majoring in Exercise Science at California State University, Northridge. She has applied to Medical School in pursuit of surgery over the coming year. Ms. Victoria has recently been added to the research team focusing on oncology clinical trials at the University of Southern California.

Born in Istanbul, Marian started attending church services at the age of six. At the age of twelve, she started singing with the Sayat Nova Music Ensemble of Istanbul, Turkey. She later studied the Komitas Divine Liturgy under the direction of Hagop Dukmejian. After leaving Turkey, Marian continued her passion of singing within the church in Canada and the United States. In addition to singing in several church choirs, she is a resident singer of the San Fernando Valley Master Chorale.

I was born with the intention of becoming a role model for not only the faithful souls around me, but for my young sister and my dearest cousins. Dedicating my time at the Western Diocese and St. Leon Armenian Church, is one of the most cherished and blessed moments I live for. My name is Delilah Shahbazian, and I am a proud and active member of the AACCWD Committee. It is my duty and honor to serve my church, my community, and God in every way possible. I do that with love, faith, hope, positivity, and complete trust in the Lord!
