I would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Throughout the year we all work tirelessly for our Armenian Church by serving with our God given talents. Our voices fill sanctuaries with love during times of happiness, and provide comfort to those during times of need. Personally, I would like to thank you for your volunteerism and your continued commitment.  Your willingness to embark on new opportunities are critical to spreading God’s message and our mission to keep the music of the Armenian Church alive.

As we gather around our tables tomorrow with our loved ones let us cherish the time that we spend together. Let us hold onto the laughs, treasure the moments, and most importantly give thanks to the Lord for what he has so richly blessed us with.  May music fill your homes and hearts tomorrow as we come together to break bread.

Should the opportunity arise tomorrow to sing around the table, I have attached a hymn called “We Gather Together”. This piece was originally written as a Christian hymn of Dutch origin in 1597 by Adrianus Valerius. In 1894, Theodore Baker wrote English lyrics to the piece that we most commonly align present-day with the Thanksgiving holiday.

Tomorrow, we truly gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing and sing praises to His name as He forgets not his own (Baker).

A very Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Warm Regards,
Sevag Derderian
